I'm a third-year computer science student at the University of Toronto. I like to solve interesting problems and build cool stuff, with a focus on performance and scalability. I'm particularly interested in backend systems, databases, and distributed systems. If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out :)

Experience

Software Engineering Intern
May 2026 – Aug 2026

Worked on core backend infrastructure in Ruby on Rails, supporting the checkout engine migration and improving backend caching logic for order-level discounts.

Focused heavily on deep database performance and latency across MySQL and GraphQL—building custom query shape optimizers to bypass table scans, index heuristics to eliminate heavy filesorts, and field-level batch limiters for pipelines serving 130M+ daily queries. Also hardened core returns workflows by resolving IDOR vulnerabilities across 3M+ active storefronts.

Open Source Contributor
Nov 2024 – Nov 2025

Contributed to Mozilla's browser automation pilot project in Python under the mentorship of a lead QA engineer, developing end-to-end QA automation infrastructure.

Built reusable test utilities across core components to streamline test automation, expanding test coverage for browser tab functionality by 2.2x via targeted Selenium smoke test suites. Active contributions tracked on Bugzilla.
